WELCOME

50th Anniversary

Welcome to St Andrews Methodist Church we’re a friendly community orientated church in Moredon, North Swindon.

We're very much community focused, and are always looking for ways in which we can help people living locally and strengthen our connection with the community. If there is anything that you think we could help with or provide within the community then please feel free to contacts us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

2012 is an important year for Andrew's. We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary and would love to hear from anyone who has been connected with us in the past, or would like to join us as we celebrate with special services and celebrations throughout the year.

We are also hoping to refurbish our building to ensure we have the facilities to support both church and community groups to flourish for a further 50 years, so would love you to join us at some of our fundraising events.

Whether you are used to coming to church, are thinking about attending a service for the very first time, or just want to support local groups and ensure they have a place to meet, you will be very welcome to come along to a service or fundraising event we're always very pleased to see new faces.

Did you ever attend St Andrew’s Methodist church on Moredon Road?

Perhaps you went to Sunday school or Youth Club there. Maybe you were a member of the Drama Group or you got married there. This year is the 50th Anniversary of the opening of St Andrew’s Church and we are celebrating with a variety of special events throughout the year.

We would like to invite any folk who had contact with the church in the past to come along to a St Andrew’s re-united afternoon on Saturday 16th June from 2-5 p.m. There will be photographs and other bits to look at and do, a cuppa and cake (of course!) and, we hope, lots of people to catch up with and chat to.

On Sunday 17th June at 10 .30 the Rt. Rev Dr. Lee Rayfield ,the Bishop of Swindon is coming to lead our Anniversary Weekend Service and in the afternoon at 4.30 there is a Strawberry Tea followed by (at 6 pm) an open air Songs of Praise Service with Brunel Brass Band. We would love to see you at any of these events so please do come along.
